The Park — A Short Story

Now I’m that woman who might kidnap your child.

Since August 21st, I’ve become that woman who watches your kids at Oakridge Park playground every morning from the same bench. I rush to try and catch your sweet little girl from a fall waiting to happen off the monkey bars while you’re busy on your phone. She runs screaming to you away from me when she falls. You should all be more careful. And please don’t ask me again…
